Slabtown.net Site Updates Archive - November 2002

November 22, 2002 - Second Update
As is common practice, I was wrong, this time about the girl in the picture I posted earlier being Zia. It is actually a regular member of the band. So, while I've still been told that Brent and Zia were up there during their set, I am still looking for pictures of them.

Added a link on the links page for a website by an artist named Cheyene Perrin, based out of Sydney. He has quite a few pretty nice drawings of the Dandy Warhols, along with a lot of other bands. Take a few minutes to roam around the site for a while, if you can.

Added a picture of Zia playing with the band "The Polyphonic Spree" at the 2002 Reading festival. Still looking for pictures of Brent on the stage with them as well.

November 19, 2002
Updated the Album 4 news page and summary page to reflect that the release date might be March 25th rather then late April.

November 18, 2002
Updated the Album 4 news page and summary page to reflect that the painting speculated to be the cover is not going to be the cover.

November 17, 2002 - second update
Added a partial setlist for the October 27, 2000 show and updated related pages. Thanks to Peters for that as well.

Added a controversial piece of news/speculation to the Album 4 page, dealing with possible album cover art for the new album. Emphasis on speculation. Discussion for it can be done on the forums if you wish.

November 17, 2002
Added a partial setlist for the May 11, 2001 show and updated related pages.

Thanks to Peters for this information, and for sending me another setlist, which I am in the process of verifying and will update soon.

I also updated the formatting on a few other pages.

November 16, 2002
Added a new, but temporary (by which I mean, I don't like it and plan for it to be a placeholder, but will probably never get around to changing it), header for the forum pages. If you went to them before, you saw a blue "xmb forums" header in the top left corner, which was the default one. That is now a cheesy one that says "Slabtown Forums".

You would think if I was really that bored (which I am, and is whY I did it), I would take the time to do something useful. Like the Godless section... Maybe this weekend.

November 15, 2002 - Second update
With the release of the new album getting closer, I'm going to go back on my word, and will put on here when the album 4 page gets updated. Also, I plan on pushing the news info, in its entirety, to the front page soon.

Anyway, new Album 4 info on the Album 4 page

In another higly impactful update, there was a typo on every page for the song "Cool Scene". Not anymore.

November 14, 2002
Added a search engine to the bottom of the front page. It isn't a very good one (for example, for some reason, it refuses to find the word "Zia" on my site), but it is at least something to help you get to what you might be looking for a little bit faster. I am still messing with the formatting, so expect small changes in it over time.

November 13, 2002
My internet connection was down for a few days, so you would think that I would have had lots of time to make significant updates for the site, but nope. Only updated the FAQ page. On it, I updated more information on the Slabtown name, and added information on the cover song of "One" called "1@33".

Exciting day for updates, everyone!

Added "lyrics" for Head... I put quotes because I don't 100% trust the lyrics I have up. I think a word or two are wrong.
Added that the guitar tabs for Hells Bells are from the 6:50 version, but have been told that the other version would be identical, for the way that the tabs are written. I would know that if I bothered to try to play the song after getting the tabs, huh?

And a non-update: No, I still haven't done the "Godless" page yet. I suck.

Rewrote the text on the front page. It still sucks, but at least it is more of a polished suckiness. Also, the menu on the side of each page has been changed around a bit, in order to reflect what is actually on the site over what isn't really up yet. Most notably, all three of the multimedia subsections (photos, audio, video) were combined into just a multimedia link, since all three linked to the same place already. And, the Chat and Forums were put into their own group of "interactive," based on a comment on the forums about how few knew the boards were even there.

I'm still not really happy with the menu, but for the time being, it was the best stopgap solution.
