Some notes about song pages
In deciding how to set up the pages for each song, I tried to include as much information as I could about the songs. But there is no guarantee that I covered everything, or that I have all the information correct (though I have to admit, I am pretty confident that most of the information is very accurate). So, I would like to explain the categories and what to expect in them. For all pages, there is a chance that there will not be any information, as I haven't gotten to all of the files yet. If this happens, don't be surprised. But, I do think that I have now cleared out all the completely dead links in the song section.
Lyrics: As you can guess, this is the lyrics for the song. In most cases, I have used the standard recordings that can be found on the albums to try to figure out the words. This is especially true for Dandys Rule, O.K., and b-side songs. For most of ...The Dandy Warhols Come Down and Thirteen Tales From Urban Boheima, I have printed "official" material that I took the lyrics from. For unreleased cover songs that have played live, all the ones I have, I have bootleg copies of and took the lyrics from those. Other great resources, for both supplying me with parts that I might not have gotten rigth on my own and for giving me lyrics to songs I don't have at all, are people writing to me to help me out. And I am always receptive to someone disagreeing with what I have down as the lyrics. Just write me with your suggestion. Also, some songs will have a * with them. This will mean that 1)I know there is a line there, but I just can't come to a conclusion what the line should be or 2) I am not 100% confident in what I have down as the lyrics.
Original Lyrics: This category is only for songs that the Dandy Warhols didn't write, and which they have played covers of. This could either be live or on a recording.
History/Information: Anything dealing with the history of a song, the meaning of it, or just various informative facts will be placed here. Such as, if it is known that a song was written about a specific person/event, this is where you will find it. Also, I will be including chart information here if a song has been a single.
Versions: In an effort to list where you can find every song, the version section will link to every album that has specific versions and variations of a song, if it is known. For some albums, I only know that it is on a CD, but I don't know how long it is, or if there is question as to if it is the same version or not, I will list it as "unknown". If you can ever fill in the information for one of those songs, I am more then happy to include it.
Single Covers: If a song has been released as a single, pictures/scans of the various album covers and CD's will be included here. This section will be a bit slow filling up, as I can't find my scanner software right now, so I can't scan my CD's. I do accept scans from other people if they want to email them to me, but I don't guarantee I will use them. It depends on how the picture looks and other factors.
Guitar Tabs: While this is called "Guitar Tabs," I will be including any and all accurate tabs in this section. It is named as it is only due to how much more common guitar tabs then any other instrument. If you have an accurate set of tabs for other instruments, I would love to get them.
Legal: Again, as the title suggests, this section deals with all the legal information regarding a specific song. This is pulled from the CD cases when available, or from tracking down information when needed.
