Lyrics - History/Information - Versions - Single Covers - Guitar Tabs - Legal
According to Courtney, this is the only song the Dandy Warhols have never played live:
"Never, not even once. We’ve played it in soundcheck a few times and I really thought it came off really well, but for some reason we haven’t tried it. I’d seriously be up for playing any of them, but I’d definitely want to run through them a few times beforehand." (note: I can't recall what he is referencing with "them")
Update: Since the time of this quote, the song has been played live, apparently showing up on at least one bootleg.

The one line of this song (which is repeated over and over for the whole song), "I want a god who stays dead, not just plays dead. Even I can play dead." comes from a quote on a bathroom wall that Courtney saw at a private college in Portland (slabtown.net note: While the exact college isn't known, the best bet would be that it was Reed College).
