Online Review
at TLA
By Peter J. Daley, Jr.

I thought nyc was good, (not as good as the bowery show this summer though.) but philly was even better. My first stop in philly, was at jims steaks, for the best cheesesteaks in the world! After filling my tummy, I walked a few doors down to the tla on south street. I have not been to the tla in over 8 years, and the place looks a lot different than the last show I saw there, before I moved to Oregon. It used to have rows of seats, and when you got a ticket, it was for a specific seat. I am glad they ripped out the seats, and made the tla general admission. As soon as I walked in the door, they had posters for the taking of 13 tales, and come down. I grabbed a set, and asked travis, very nicely if I could stash them behind the t shirt table. I was able to weasel my way down to the front of the stage in the second row, in front of zia. when the lights went down, and the opening chords of be-in started, i was in heaven! i started to sway with the crowd, and was lost in the dandys experience. it is hard to describe the dandys live, you have to see them to understand. i had a big grin on my face the whole night, and enjoyed every moment. they played a tight but short set, due to brent still recovering from having his kidney stones removed the week before. you could see the pain on his face the whole night, but he rocked on! being back in philly, on south street, with a cheesesteak in my tummy, and seeing the dandys, was pure bliss! Little did I know it was about to get better. After the show I went back to the t-shirt table to get my posters. Zia was hanging out with travis, and I thanked her for a great show. She said thanks, and asked if she could sign my head. I said sure, and she signed my head. Then I walked over to the launch table, to see if I had won the signed guitar. I was not that lucky, but I saw that my name had been drawn for the after show party. YEA! They gave me a cool laminated pseudo back stage pass. The
