This is another post that will go in the "news" and "site update" section, due for lack of any better place to put it. But, I have gotten a few questions lately on this, so I figured I would respond to the larger audience.

Unless something is really groundbreaking (like an actual release day) comes out about the new album, all Album 4 information will be on the Album 4 page, and not on the news page. Similarily, just like updates to the news page aren't on the site update page, updates to the Album 4 page are not included on the site update page. So, the only way to keep track of the most up-to-date info on the new album is specifically checking the Album 4 page.

The reasoning behind this is purely a lazy one: Each time I update the A4 page, I don't want to have to also update the news page and the site update page. I would rather just update one page. And, until I get off my lazy ass and add some scripts and databases, it isn't all done automatically.

On a related note, I have looked around for a script that will allow for the menu to say when a page was last updated (for example saying "News (9/20)" to show that the news page was last updated on September 20th), but currently, I would have to change something on every single page to have that work, and I don't want to edit over 3000 pages.

Added a review of the June 17, 2000 show in London. It is surprisingly the first, and so far only, review from 1998 that I have.

I still don't know what happened to the counter on the front page, but I found a workaround. Of course, the "drastic" result of this is that it isn't as accurate, as I just put in a number that I knew it was above quite a few days ago. Oh well.

Finally verified that The Dandy Warhols appear on the compilation album, Triple J's Hottest 100 - Vol. 6 and have finally uploaded it to the site.

I know, I know. I've been slacking off lately. And it isn't for lack of items. Not including todays update, I have 3 other "new" articles to add to the site, but I'm too lazy to finish typing them up right now. All three are already started.
Anyway, I did add a new article today, a June 26, 2000 article from The Revolver.

Now someone tell me to get my ass in gear so those other articles get up.

Oh, and I corrected a few typos on some pages. I hate it when I don't see those. Thanks for noticing them, Haggis.

I added my mailing address to the "contact slabtown.net" section. The reason for this sounds silly, but its because it has come to my attention recently that I should expect a cease and desist order from Capitol Records, and I want them to have a way to contact me if they need to send it to me.

Added a new pic from Reading 2002. It is on the (surprise) Reading 2002 picture page. I also added a link to the page to the Summer 2002 concert picture page. Thanks to Nate for info on the latest pic added to the Reading02 page.
September 1, 2002 - second update
I'll get around to archiving the old update and news stuff later this week. I can't believe I got so far behind.

Changed the discography menu system. With, at last count, 121 compilation albums that the band appears on, I put all the comps on one page. If you find that there are any problems on the related pages, or if I forgot a page that should now link to the compilation menu, write in.

Added a record I have had for a long time, actually. I didn't realize I hadn't made an entry for it already. It is a 12" vinyl with 3 never released outside this promo item. It is the Rock Snobs Remixes for Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth.
