God, I was so drunk, I don't rmember updating yesterday.

Currently while I don't know what any of them are going to be, the band already has decided on what the first songs and videos will be... three videos are in the planning stage already.
November 26, 2002 - "Green Room" Expanded
Shit. I thought I updated this info earlier today... I have even been commenting on it on various message boards around the net. Yet, I thought I posted it already. I suck.

Yesterday, Sean (The webmaster of the official site) added a shitload of new material, in the "archive" section. This includes a ton of old pictures, an archive section for articles, and a "gigography".. which....... while I guarantee the name was not my invention, I have never seen it on another web site or anything music related before mine... anyway, enjoy the band.

November 25, 2002 - "Best Of" forum question
This was a really hard thing to decide, on if it was a news item (in a band-related, it really isn't) or a site update item (which it isn't).... so I'm mentioning it here.

In the Slabtown.Net forums - more specifically in the "recordings" section - I added a thread asking what you would put on a "best Of" CD for the band. I do have some qualifiers, so go there to read them. or just list what you want. It's all good.

November 24, 2002 - Green Area open.
On the official site, more of the Green Area has opened up. This section is full of photos, press and a gigography. Go check it out.

If I get frustrated later, I'll post a messageboard in regards to which parts of it Sean has once again re-written history over, but not now or here.
November 22, 2002 - Dandys Down Under = not yet.
Thought I updated this last night, but I forgot.

Got an email from Zia, and she and Travis (her husband) are going to be in Bangkok for New Years, celebrating their 1 year wedding anniversary. Essentially this is the final blow to any chance of the Dandy Warhols being at the Falls Fest in Oz.

Well, I got one email a few minutes ago that says that at least one of the band members will be in London on December 30-31, so odds are that the band isn't playing at the festival. I've sent out one last email that I hope will help settle it (at least in my mind), but unless you hear otherwise here, consider the case now closed (for Slabtown at least.).
November 21, 2002 - Dandys in Australia?
A "rumor" popped up on the official messageboards that the band is playing at the Falls Festival in Victoria, Australia, which runs from Dec 30, 2002 to Jan 1, 2003. Still trying to confirm.

At this point, I said its a rumor just because I can't find anything so far about them being there. The official page for the festival doesn't have them listed, and noplace else has it either.

November 13, 2002 - Happy Belated B-day, Peter
Things in my real life, non-online stuff, has been really frustrating the past few weeks, so it is no surprise that I missed posting something of importance. November 3rd was Peter's birthday. Not sure exactly how old he is now, but I know its somewhere around mid-30's.

November 4, 2002 - "It's quiet" "Yeah, too quiet..."
No news to report for the most part. Since there hasn't been an update for 2 weeks now, I'm sure you could draw the (correct) conclusion that no DW albums charted in the top 100 in the U.K. for the past 2 weeks. C'est la vie (I hope that is spelled right. I took French in school 12 years ago, so I'm foggy at times). Some people have said that it has gotten so quiet because the band doesn't like how close they are being reported about. So, they aren't even letting some friends know some things that they used to tell them, thanks to me. I hope this isn't the case, since this is a labor of love, but I can understand it, I supoose.

Two other things of note. Well, 1 1/2. First, what is it with some things going in phases? In the past week I have gotten 4 emails about The Black Album, and all were related to why it wasn't released. Now, the reason I mention this is that I found an error I thought I corrected on the site months ago, but alas I didn't. It deals with who said the album was shit. Current folklore says that Capitol (and most notably Perry Watts-Russell) didn't like it. Truth of the matter is that the band didn't feel it cut the snuff and just directed the blame on Capitol. So, often you hear people talk about Capitol being money-grubbing whorebags (which is true), but it isn't 100% the truth in this case.

Now as for the other thing going around Dandyville recently, and this one I'm going to have to be a bit more vague about, especially since I won't be answering it. There is a rumor going around right now about someone in the band... it is a pretty big rumor. Please don't ask me if the rumor is true or not. I won't confirm, deny, or even acknowledge it. Sorry for being so vague, but those who know the rumor will know what I'm talking about, and I don't want to spread the rumor farther, regardless if its true, not-true or other. I only address it because I have gotten 7 emails about it in the past week.

Now, see -- if the band had interesting stuff going on right now that they would let slip, I'd not be forced to talk about TBA rumors and rumors of rumors. Just let me have a copy of "Wonderful You" and/or "Love Me Madly" and all would be good in the world. Kidding.
