Taking the Andy W link one exciting level higher, the debut album from this Portland, Oregon quartet concludes with the extended rockout "It's A Fast-Driving Rave-Up With The Dandy Warhols' Sixteen Minutes.' Hmm, as pop-art puns go, 'Peter Blake's Seven' would be preferable, if only it'd promise a shorter song - as with most of the album, 'Sixteen Minutes' is pretty limp. Riding out on a deeply undistinguished, fuzzed-up indie-rock chassis, the modest identifying feature here is an anglophile inclination - the track 'Ride', amusingly, sounds exactly like early Ride. Elsewhere they come on all MBV-lite, and devote themselves to song titles of such calibre as '(Tony, This Song Is Called) Lou Weed'.
