Origines: découverts en 1998 grâce au succès du single Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth, les Dandy Warhols en sont aujourd’hui à leur troisième album. Ce dernier a été enregistré dans les anciens bains douches gays de Portland, ville d’origine du quatuor. Le sémillant Courtney Taylor et sa bande ont signé un des meilleurs albums pop rock de l’année.
Ingrédients: beaucoup plus éclectique que les albums précédents, Thirteen Tales… est un condensé de pop, de rock et parfois de country. Des pointes psychédéliques par ci, des riffs de guitares sixties seventies par là. La complémentarité des voix de Courtney Taylor et du batteur Eric Hedford donne une couleur particulière aux chansons. On a pourtant parfois une impression de "déjà entendu", vite dissipée par l’efficacité de l’ensemble.

Ingredients: much more eclectic than the preceding albums, Thirteen Tales... is a digest of pop, rock'n'roll and sometimes of country. Psychedelic points per Ci, of the riffs of guitars sixties seventies by there. The complementarity of the voices of Courtney Taylor and the beater Eric Hedford gives a color particular to the songs. There is however sometimes an impression of "already heard", quickly dissipated by the effectiveness of unit.
