Il video del nuovo singolo dei Dandy Warhols sta passando per le varie televisioni in una versione tagliata delle scene di nudo integrale che sono state girate, grazie a nme.com possiamo vedere oggi il video nella sua versione originale. Il cantante e chitarrista Courtney Taylor ha iniziato suonando la batteria in una band glam chiamata Beauty Stab prima di formare i Dandy Warhols a Portland, Oregon, nei primi anni ''90. Ha chiamato alle tastiere Zia McCabe, il chitarrista Peter Holmstrom (suo compagno di scuola) ed il batterista Eric Hedford che non aveva mai suonato uno strumento prima, ed il primo nome adottato era Andy Warholýs Wet Dream, cambiato in seguito in Dandy Warhols. La loro musica inizialmente era una sorta di rock psichedelico che ricordava i primi tempi dei Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett o gli Hawkwind. Nel 1995 registrano un album chiamato Dandy''s Rule, OK? per la Tim/Kerr Records, le atmosfere erano quasi un tributo a Lou Reed. I tours con gli Electrafixion ed i Love and Rockets li portano ad essere conosciuti e considerati come i nuovi ispiratori della Brit Invasion pop; la Capitol li mette sotto contratto nel 1996. Il primo album con la nuova etichetta discografica è The Dandy Warhols Come Down, e viene realizzato nell''estate del 1997. La musica del disco è un misto tra reminescenze di rock spaziale e garage rock. L''anno seguente esce l''Ep Every Day Should Be A Holiday seguito dal recente album Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia dopo un tour fatto assieme ai Teenage Fanclub ed i Radiohead.
