The dandys delve into sweetness and light on this psychedelic wash of groovy guitars and sunny sixties chorus harmonies. They're too good to sound simply retro, instead wearing their Brit-invasion influences with style and affection. Cool touches like a bit of recorder on "Lou Weed" along with vocals influenced by, duh, give this one an instant likability. And, likewise, the rest of the record sounds fresh and fun just the way it oughta.
