Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth

The Dandy Warhols had it with heroin chic? This clip sets out to sink the phenomenon by presenting it as cliché. To accompany a song declaring “heroin is so passé,” director David LaChapelle sets the junkie’s world in the corniest setting possible: an ‘80s game show. Behind Door No. 1, a Carol Merrill type presents a guy vomiting. Behind No. 3 we get gravestones. Elsewhere you’ll find dancing needles plus overhead shots of gurneys twirling around like something from a Busby Berkeley extravaganza. Nihilism never looked so Neanderthal.
